Since 1993, Cinnaire has funded affordable housing developments and community development initiatives throughout the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic states. Headquartered in Lansing Michigan, we have offices in Detroit and Grand Rapids, MI:, Milwaukee and Madison, WI; Chicago, IL; Indianapolis, IN; and Wilmington, DE, while providing financial and development support across our nine-state footprint including Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Indiana, Illinois, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland.

Summary

The primary role of the Syndication Processor is to provide efficient, customer-friendly coordination of services critical to moving equity investments through the due diligence, closing, and transition processes. The Syndication Processor maintains productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including third-party vendors.

Responsibilities

  1. Collaborates with Underwriters and attorneys to ensure efficient progression towards equity real estate investment closings.
  2. Coordinates timely transition of new projects from Business Development to Underwriting.
  3. Manages the process for obtaining third party reports such as market studies, plan and cost reviews, and flood certifications and ensures efficient dissemination of to the appropriate team members.
  4. Tracks and documents all pre- and post-closing activities.
  5. Maintains due diligence checklists.
  6. Reviews and approves Due Diligence documents related to deal processing.
  7. Administers due diligence conference calls with internal and external partners.
  8. Manages preparation of investor-related materials for deal closings and coordinates the execution of funding requests.
  9. Assists with the transition of closed equity deals into the Asset Management department.
  10. Produces post-closing documentation.
  11. Approves and submits invoices for payment.
  12. Manages closing sequence.

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Educational level: Associate degree or equivalent work experience
  • Background in commercial real estate, commercial banking, or legal field preferred
  • Strong organizational skills
  • High level of detail-orientation

Reporting Relationship: Reports to Senior Vice President, Equity Underwriting

Physical Requirements: 

•    Ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time.
