Summary

Inclusiv seeks a Portfolio Associate who will be a key member of the Investment team responsible for the operational support of the lending and investment activities. This position will be responsible for loan and investment closings, servicing and reporting and other programmatic support as needed. The ideal candidate will have experience working collaboratively to support lending and/ or other fund operations, a demonstrated interest in strengthening inclusive communities and have financial analysis, process improvement and project management skills. This is a junior level position with opportunity for growth. This position will be based at our New York City headquarters and report to the Senior Vice President of Capital, Investments and Impact.

Responsibilities

Loan/ Investment Closings
• Serve as the main administrator and point of contact for loan closing process for borrowers and the Inclusiv/Capital team.
• Prepare and manage closing checklists and timelines; Ensure conditions required to finalize loan closings are completed.
• Draft commitment letters and update closing documents.
• Work with the Fiscal and Inclusiv/Capital teams Maintain loan and investment data and documents across systems.
• Coordinate closings, funding, advances and provide support with invoicing and payments.
• Review and monitor compliance with internal management policies and commitment letters for reviewing and processing loan disbursements and modifications, including requirements under loan documentation.
• Onboard borrowers and investors and provide/ coordinate support as needed.

Portfolio Monitoring, Reporting and Operations
• Maintain loan and investment documents and systems.
• Update borrower and investor contact information.
• Collaborate with Impact Investment Officer on CDCU investee reporting and analysis.
• Provide reports as needed for portfolio monitoring, compliance, and planning.
• Support programmatic administration and relationship management with members, borrowers, and investors:
• Coordinate and facilitate borrower and servicing onboarding.
• Support portfolio management and preparation for due diligence calls.
• Review and monitor compliance and programmatic requirements for servicing and loan/ investment administration.
• Coordinate with Fiscal department and SVP of Inclusiv/Capital regarding payment and disbursement processing, invoicing, reporting and general queries for internal and external requests.

The Portfolio Associate may be required to assist with the programmatic administration, compliance reporting and member engagement as necessary, including:
• Engaging in strategic planning and goal setting for department
• Providing regular reporting to SVP as needed; support the development of publications by delivering research; Participating on funder briefing calls and in preparing presentations
• Participating in weekly staff meetings; support team as needed.

 

Requirements

Skills and Experience
• Commitment to Inclusiv’s mission to help low- and moderate-income people and communities achieve financial independence.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in loan/ investment administration and loan monitoring/ servicing. An undergraduate degree may substitute for 2 years of experience.
• Detail oriented, analytical mindset and experience working with financial data.
• Strong and effective communication, analytical and organizational skills. Familiarity and experience with process improvement.
• Experience with relationship management and working with diverse communities.
• Project management experience and strong analytical skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, and across departments within a mission-driven work environment.
• Ability to bring clarity, structure and discipline to complex projects.
• Excellent computer skills, proficiency in Word, Excel & PowerPoint required.
• Experience with Salesforce and CRM platforms preferred.
• High level of integrity, personal organization and flexibility.
• Dynamic, self-starter with high attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and organize task completion in alignment with strategic goals.
• Authorized to work in the US.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: The salary range for this position starts at $67,000 annually. We will consider a higher salary for candidates with more experience.
