Background

Summary

Maintains loan accounting system by tracking loan payments, loan histories, escrow accounts, etc.  Processes monthly loan payments and disbursements.  Updates funding on spreadsheet and reconciles, provides year-end histories to borrowers, and generates various reports for customers and in-house use as needed.  Assists in monthly reconciliation of deposit and general ledger accounts, prepares monthly reports required for financial statement preparation.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains FICS loan accounting system to track loan payments, loan histories, escrow accounts, participant (member bank) activities, etc.
  • Processes monthly loan payments and disburses to member banks. Writs deposits and makes bank runs.
  • Invoicing all construction loans and permanent loans.
  • Manages all loan escrow accounts including capital reserves, insurance, and taxes to include calculation of interest payable to customers on each account monthly and ensuring accurate reporting of same. Also calculates NLP’s interest and ensures necessary entries are provided to Chief Financial Officer for preparation of monthly financial statements.
  • Tracks Prime and SOFR rates and updates spreadsheets for loans tied to those rates and notifies borrowers and customers.
  • Provides year-end histories to borrowers as requested.
  • Creates 1099’s for borrowers that earn interest.
  • Updates spreadsheets during the funding process.
  • Updates spreadsheets to reflect new funding. Creates spreadsheets for first payment to borrower so they are invoiced for correct amount.
  • Bridger searches and monthly reports.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Experience with affordable housing programs with expertise in local, State and Federal Housing Programs preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office; Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of FICS preferred.
