Financial and Social Impact

  • Minority-owned business able to survive and survive through COVID-19, with six jobs retained

Like many businesses, Ammons Design and Home Decor faced monumental challenges following COVID-19 shutdowns and needed operating capital to get through the anticipated financial slump. Owner Keynan Ammons explored funding options, including mainstream financing, but as a relatively young business, he lacked much of the paperwork and historical financial records required by traditional lenders. Skeptical of his chances at successfully receiving a business loan, he sought help from Access Plus Capital after a referral from a friend.

Access Plus Capital provided Keynan with the operating capital his business needed to survive its financial setbacks, maintain a staff of six without any layoffs, and pay its bills. Keynan’s business has already been able to recover and begin thriving again through the help of a nanoloan from Access Plus Capital.

“I had the dream, I had the business, I had the drive to do the work, but I didn’t see where there was a lot of support for me, and so I spoke to the team over at Access Plus Capital and they helped a lot,” Keynan said. “They made me feel very comfortable and were very clear about what my expectations should be. I felt like it was an honest business that I could trust that would help me to get to that next level and through that spell where I needed assistance.”
