Bhumip Patel

Bhumip Patel, is the Interim CFO and Senior Vice President of Finance and Accounting at Opportunity Finance Network (OFN). He is responsible for managing the finance and accounting department which maintains the financials and general ledger for OFN and its subsidiaries. Bhumip also manages OFN’s compliance activities and financial functions including financial projections, budgeting, asset-liability management, and investor reporting.  

Prior to joining OFN, Bhumip was Chief Financial Officer at Martha’s Table, a non-profit organization in Washington D.C. There he helped drive remarkable growth, increasing total assets by 780% over four years through innovative financing and business strategies. In addition, Bhumip implemented a new financial reporting framework, securing significant financing opportunities and playing a pivotal role in acquiring New Market Tax Credits for a nearly $30 million headquarters facility.

He crafted investment policies for a multi-million-dollar portfolio and supported the disposition of real estate assets within Washington D.C. Bhumip led annual planning cycles, federal grant management and compliance. He also spearheaded the implementation of ERP software, streamlining operations and compliance.  

Previously, Bhumip has held numerous accounting and finance positions in the non-profit and for-profit sector and was also a Finance Management Consultant with IBM. He has a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Finance, both from George Mason University.
