Summary

OFN seeks a talented and motivated Administrative Assistant who can play a pivotal role in supporting the Executive Vice President, Chief Network Officer (CNO), and the growing and dynamic Network Services team. This position is instrumental in providing exceptional administrative support and maintaining superior customer service standards with external partners. Operating within a fast-paced environment, the role encompasses managing the Network Services inbox, calendar, travel arrangements, and logistical support of in-person or virtual training events.

The role will also contribute to special initiatives aimed at enriching the OFN membership and advancing CDFI industry.

This position is based in Washington, D.C. All staff currently work a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the EVP, Chief Network Officer to facilitate daily planning, scheduling, travel, and email management.
  • Act as the primary contact for the Network Services client mailbox, ensuring prompt responses and adherence to service level agreements for all client/member inquiries.
  • Track and coordinate expense reports for the Network Services team, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide logistical support for OFN events by overseeing the preparation, printing, and distribution of training materials, and deliver responsive customer service by promptly addressing inquiries and requests related to event logistics and content.
  • Track and update Salesforce and CDFI connect.
  • Liaison with other internal teams to answer questions, collaborate, and work on special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in a people first, customer service orientated environment required.
  • 2-3 years of demonstrated administrative work required.
  • Capacity to answer high volumes of emails and phone calls is required.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Outlook, and Microsoft Office products strongly preferred.
  • Exposure to and/or experience in community development finance, banking, and/or management is valuable.
  • A collaborative team player who possesses the interpersonal skills to work across all levels of the organization, humility, and a willingness to learn in all areas of our work. Be a strong team contributor.
  • Digital literacy to navigate workplace technology.
  • Competent problem-solver with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of membership knowledge and branch information.
  • Ability to multitask and quickly shift gears to support organizational and/or departmental demands. Skill of learning quickly and adapting to fluid work demands is important.
  • Skilled in both verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to demonstrate close attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with IT information systems, database management systems, and Client Relationship Management systems required.
  • Comfort working in a nonprofit environment preferred.
  • Occasional travel may be required (up to 5% of time).
  • No extraordinary physical requirements beyond ability to travel.
  • Job involves normal physical requirements for an office position.
