Financial and Social Impact

Grow South Dakota supplied Preach-es with a loan that created three new jobs in the community, and it has impacted countless members of the community. Jonathon holds community outreach forums and services from fashion design to mental health, which makes Preach-es a new pillar in the Sioux Falls community.

Headshot of Jonathon Vazquez

Before creating Preach-es, a newly established business in downtown Sioux Falls, Jonathon worked in ministry. And after moving from California to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, he continued that work, but he knew that he wanted to do more – that’s when he came up with the idea and name of Preach-es from the slogan “practice what you preach”.

Preach-es is a specialized high-end apparel and rare sneaker business created to be a space for individuals who are interested in sneaker and fashion culture. The mission is to bring the LA and NY high-end retail shopping experiences to the Sioux Falls community, and their main focus is to provide the community with favorably priced luxury clothing and rare sneakers for customers to feel a sense of accomplishment and belonging.

The inside of a clothing store

When Jonathon was near the end stages of getting Preach-es open, he and his team found a building and completely renovated the inside. However, the process exhausted the rest of their working capital. Jonathon then reached out to a bank for financing to purchase inventory, but they turned him down and referred him to GROW South Dakota for help instead. “Grow SD was an integral part in us opening our store, and Brayden and the team were very helpful through the process. They worked with us through every step, and believed in us and saw our vision. We are grateful for Grow SD and would definitely encourage anyone that wants to start a business to work with them. We are looking forward to working with Grow SD and building together!”
