Take Action to Support $1 Billion for CDFIs!

In the past year, more has been asked of the CDFI industry than ever before, and CDFIs have stepped up to serve customers devastated by the concurrent health, racial, and economic crises facing our nation.
The federal government has demonstrated its faith in the CDFI model by directing new resources to CDFIs while simultaneously asking CDFIs to take on additional responsibilities — not only with the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) but in other federal anti-poverty initiatives as well.
Despite all the CDFI industry has been able to do, the needs of low-wealth communities remain persistent and deep — and the events of the past year have set many of them even further behind.
To make a sustainable impact, the CDFI industry must grow dramatically; and to do so, ongoing support from the CDFI Fund — at the annual level of at least $1 billion — is absolutely necessary.
