OFN delivers signature events that bring together the brightest practitioners, funders, vendors, and more to empower and engage the entire industry. We are committed to not only supporting CDFIs with diverse lending programs and asset-sizes, but providing mission-driven lenders and practitioners with opportunities to gain insights, learn best practices, and network and engage in peer learning.

OFN Conference: Expect the highest quality, practitioner-driven curriculum available in the industry. Connect with more than 1,200 CDFIs, funders, investors, and policymakers.

Small Business Finance Forum: CDFIs and other mission-driven lenders connect annually for this day and a half event, that provides best practices, targeted sessions, and peer learning opportunities centered around small business lending.

Advocacy Day: An annual opportunity for members of Congress and their staff to hear directly from our network about the impact CDFIs create by increasing access to capital in rural, urban, and Native communities across the nation.

Regional Meetings: During these daylong events, OFN Members and Allies, non-Member CDFIs, banks, foundations, and others participate in peer exchange and training designed around their specific region of the U.S.

Fundamentals in the Opportunity Finance Industry: Designed for practitioners looking to expand their knowledge in the basics of the opportunity finance industry, these three-day sessions are ideal for new entrants into the field.

Board Elections: OFN seeks a Board with ethnic, racial, and gender diversity that reflects our Members' range of financing types and geographic reach. Board elections take place during the annual meeting at the OFN Conference.

Fundamentals of the Opportunity Finance Industry
Durham, North Carolina

This course, run by Opportunity Finance Network and the Carsey School of Public Policy at the University of New Hampshire, is designed to help new or recent entrants into the field of opportunity finance gain the knowledge they need to expand their organizations' capacity and impact. Topics include capitalization, impact, financing, public policy, and new business models. Scholarships are available to CDFIs, including a separate scholarship for Native CDFIs, to attend the Fundamentals of the Opportunity Finance Industry course. Scholarship applications are due by December 15, 2016.
