Summary

MoFi is seeking an experienced learning development professional to design, develop, implement, and facilitate learning experiences across the organization. This role builds practical programs that help employees grow, perform at a high level, and contribute to MoFi’s continued growth and impact.

The Learning Experience Designer focuses on turning real work into clear, usable training across lending, credit, and operations. The goal is to ensure staff have the skills, tools, and training needed to serve clients well and manage risk responsibly.

This is a hands-on role that combines program design, facilitation, and project management. Success in this role translates to stronger performance, faster onboarding, and better consistency across teams.

Responsibilities

Learning Design & Development

  • Partner with leaders and team members to understand development needs and align training with business goals
  • Conduct needs assessments and define clear learning objectives
  • Design and develop training materials, including instructor-led sessions, e-learning modules, and job aids
  • Build curriculum across lending, underwriting, portfolio management, and client engagement
  • Ensure content reflects real workflows, tools, and expectations
  • Define success measures for each program and track outcomes
  • Maintain and update training materials and curriculum
  • Stay current on relevant practices and apply them in a practical way

Program Delivery & Facilitation

  • Facilitate virtual and in-person training sessions
  • Prepare materials, technology, and session structure
  • Manage timing, transitions, and participant engagement during sessions
  • Handle logistics and troubleshoot issues as they arise
  • Keep sessions focused, organized, and aligned with intended outcomes

Stakeholder & Participant Experience

  • Serve as the main point of contact for participants and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure a consistent, high-quality experience across programs
  • Communicate clearly about expectations, updates, and changes
  • Identify and address issues early
  • Gather feedback and use it to improve future programs

Collaboration & Program Management

  • Work with subject matter experts to ensure content is accurate and relevant
  • Manage multiple projects and timelines
  • Support onboarding and role-specific development efforts
  • Contribute to building a training function that can scale with the organization

Requirements

  • Experience designing and delivering training programs
  • Strong instructional design skills
  • Experience facilitating both virtual and in-person sessions
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to work across teams and build trust
  • Clear and direct communication skills
  • Strong skills in Learning Management Systems
  • Experience in financial services or a mission-driven organization is helpful

Compensation and Benefits

$125,000-$150,000 annual salary
