What’s New in 2026?

Here are a few new things to expect in 2026.

  • New events & convenings
    • The inaugural OFN National Policy Summit will be held on February 11-12 in Washington, D.C. This convening will focus on strengthening industry advocacy to adapt to the ever-changing federal environment. Sessions will explore expanding bipartisanship on Capitol Hill, tapping into new policy opportunities, leveraging research and storytelling, building state coalitions, and increasing advocacy involvement for all CDFIs.
    • Building on the success of our 2025 CDFI practitioner summits, we’re introducing a new CEO Summit in April, which will convene CDFI CEOs for community building, peer learning, and collaboration. The Marketing & Communications and People & Talent summits have been integrated into our annual event lineup and will be offered in 2026 again as well. Learn more about practitioner summits here.

  • Expanded training offerings
    • On-Demand Training: Many of OFN’s most popular live virtual trainings will be available on-demand later this year! Check out OFN’s 2026 Training Catalog, coming soon, to view the full list of la carte training offerings and formats.
    • Customized Executive Training for CDFI Board Members: In February, OFN will start offering customized virtual and in-person executive training for CDFI Board Members, as well as virtual, half-day customized annual CDFI industry outlooks designed to provide actionable information for strategic governance and oversight.
    • Mission-Driven Credit Training Program: OFN plans to launch the pilot for a first-of-its-kind credit training program in autumn, focused on developing foundational credit and underwriting skills tailored to mission-driven lenders.
    • CDFI Leadership Institute: Launching in early winter, this new initiative will refresh OFN’s CDFI leadership curriculum to offer new content and deepened support tailored to the unique needs of emerging, mid-career, and senior CDFI professionals in today’s world.

  • A defined programming & training calendar.
    • OFN’s practitioner-focused programming and training offerings have scaled from 12 programmatic offerings in 2022 to 90+ in 2025. To make it easier for members and partners to plan ahead and engage with our offerings, we’ve introduced a more consistent programming cadence in 2026:
      • Webinars held up to twice a month on Tuesday afternoons, including a monthly public policy update from OFN’s policy team. Most policy updates are available exclusively to OFN members as a member benefit.
      • Live virtual trainings offered up to three times a month on Wednesday afternoons from 1:30-4:30pm ET. Pricing is $140 for members and $215 for non-members.
