Tilan Tang, Ph.D.

Tilan Tang is an Associate Professor of Finance and Nunnenkamp-Cinelli Faculty Fellow at the School of Business at Wake Forest University. Her main research focuses on empirical corporate finance and corporate governance, with a recent focus on community development financial institutions (CDFIs). Her work has appeared in leading journals such as the Journal of Accounting and Economics, International Review of Finance, and International Journal of Industrial Organization, and has been featured in outlets including The Wall Street Journal and The Economist. She holds a PhD in Finance from Michigan State University, an MA in Economics from Florida State University, and dual bachelor’s degrees from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
