Sean Zielenbach

Sean is the President of SZ Consulting, LLC and has over 33 years of experience working on issues related to economic development and development finance. He provides consulting services to nonprofits, banks, foundations, public entities, and community development organizations nationwide, with a focus on strategic planning, program and product development, market analyses, and impact definition, measurement, and evaluation. Sean played a key role in designing the federal New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) program while at the CDFI Fund and has since helped dozens of organizations attract NMTC capital for high-impact projects. His work also includes conducting studies and analyses on affordable housing, mixed-income housing, small business development and finance, and community revitalization. Through this work, Sean has supported initiatives aimed at poverty alleviation and sustainable community and neighborhood change across the country.
