Remembering Longtime Economic Justice Champion Adina Abramowitz

Adina Abramowitz, a beloved champion for community development finance and social and economic justice, passed away on December 13, 2023. 

Adina’s dedicated career spanned decades in the CDFI industry, including nine years on the staff of OFN (1996–2005) and, most recently, serving as managing partner at CDFI Friendly America. A leading industry consultant, Adina founded Consulting for Change in 2006 to provide instrumental capacity building services to CDFIs and other nonprofit organizations across the country.   

Adina’s wisdom, mentorship, and friendship touched hundreds of CDFIs. A source of light for everyone who knew her, Adina had a huge heart and her passion and inspiration will live on through the remarkable impact she had on so many of us and our communities.
