At a time when our nation needs bold solutions for job creation, affordable housing development, disaster relief, and place-based opportunity, CDFIs are answering the call. For more than 40 years, the community development finance industry has invested capital where it counts, fueling economic opportunity across rural, urban, and Native communities.
And we’re just beginning!
This October, CDFI practitioners, investors, partners, and policymakers will gather in Washington, D.C., to explore what’s now and what’s next. Join us for OFN41, the CDFI industry’s annual signature event.

This year’s theme — Opportunity Next — builds on 40 years of CDFI investing and looks to the future, offering a framework for learning, connection, and charting the path ahead.
Call for Sessions
Are you a program officer with on-the-ground insight? A policy expert reshaping what’s possible? A storyteller spotlighting how capital changes lives? This is your invitation:
Submit a session proposal for OFN41.
We’re looking for sessions that reflect the breadth and depth of our field—across sectors, geographies, and experience—and spark ideas, tackle barriers, and advance the CDFI movement.
Before submitting a proposal, please review the Call for Sessions Guidelines and Practice.
For anyone wanting to discuss session proposals/the submission process, we will be holding office hours on the following dates:
Submission Deadline: July 9, 2025
Submit your proposal by July 9 to be considered for inclusion in one of more than 80-90 breakout sessions planned across 14 dynamic tracks.
