The Nimiipuu Community Development Fund (NCDF), a certified Native community development financial institution (CDFI), provides financial opportunities to stimulate economic development on and near the Nez Perce Indian reservation. The North Central Massachusetts Development Corporation (NCMDC) is the principle resource for the region in terms of economic development; lending and financing; and implementing a multi-faceted regional economic development strategy to enhance economic development services while expanding lending capacity to accommodate the region’s unique industry mix. In 1978, Northeast South Dakota Community Action Program (NESDCAP) created the Northeast South Dakota Economic Corporation (NESDEC) as a revolving loan fund to focus on small business lending and job creation in 22 counties. In 2007, GROW South Dakota (GROW SD) was formed to provide housing, community, and economic development statewide. Through services to individuals, technical assistance to community and economic development agencies, and loans to small businesses and home buyers, GROW SD continues to have a broad and lasting impact.

Northern Maine Development Commission (NMDC) is a membership organization comprised of participating communities and counties in the Aroostook Washington Economic Development District. NMDC provides federal and state services at the regional and local levels.

The Northland Foundation is a publicly supported foundation serving seven counties and all or parts of five Tribal Nations in rural northeastern Minnesota.
