Shared Capital Cooperative is a $25 million+ national CDFI loan fund with a successful, 45-year track record of financing consumer, small producer, housing, and worker-owned cooperatives. We’re building a just, equitable, and democratic economy by investing in cooperative enterprises. Shared Capital is democratically owned and governed by 300 cooperatives across 36 states. We’re looking for a full-time Resource Development professional. We’re open to hiring this as a senior leadership position, a junior entry-level position, or anything in between.

You’ll be working with an excellent and supportive team, and collaborating with fellow employees, volunteer committee members, community partners, and our board of directors. We encourage professional development. You may be expected to travel occasionally.

Considerable time is spent applying for funding from long-time partners, so you should be familiar with grant writing and with the CDFI award application process.

Responsibilities

The primary functions of this job are:

  • Lead the planning of Shared Capital’s fund development strategy.
  • Implement fundraising and capitalization efforts.
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships.
  • Contribute to our good reputation among lenders, CDFIs, and within the co-op ecosystem.

Compensation and Benefits

The yearly salary range for this position is dependent on the level you’re hired at, which is dependent on your qualifications and your prior relevant experience and performance:

  • Resource Development Associate (entry-level): $70,000-$90,000 annually.
  • Resource Development Officer (mid-level): $75,000-$105,000 annually.
  • Director of Resource Development (executive-level): $90,000-$140,000 annually.
