The Business Consortium Fund, Inc. (BCF) exists to expand capital access for small businesses across the United States to advance a more inclusive and equitable society. Our focus and special expertise are funding and advice for minority business enterprises operating in the supply chains of the nation’s largest corporations and government organizations.

Summary

Responsibilities

In This Role, You Will:

  • Work with a team dedicated to supporting underserved and diverse-owned businesses in preparing for capital access and maximizing their growth potential, contributing to a more inclusive U.S. economy.
  • Deliver pre-loan application and post-loan funding training sessions to diverse-owned businesses, covering topics such as BCF’s core product offerings, preparing for a business credit application, managing cash flow, writing a business plan, and overseeing financials.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of BCF’s offerings to effectively collaborate with the Chief Programs Manager in designing high-quality training materials, including e-learning lessons, help center articles, one-pagers, and slide decks, using tools like PowerPoint and Canva.
  • Schedule and promote webinars and in-person events on BCF’s website, social media platforms, and partners’ channels.
  • Assist in tracking impact metrics and conducting quantitative data analyses to generate descriptive and summary statistics of our borrower base for impact measurement.
  • Collect feedback from clients through surveys and interviews, and program relevant sections of the surveys on data collection platforms.

Requirements

  • Expert-level proficiency in PowerPoint, Canva, Excel, and Zoom.
  • Over 5 years of experience in financial services at a CDFI, FinTech, credit union, or bank.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a client-facing training role, with strong presentation skills to effectively engage diverse audiences in both virtual and in-person settings.
  • Ability to thrive in a test-and-learn team environment with minimal direction, demonstrating initiative in finding solutions independently.
  • Quick learner who meets deadlines consistently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to create impactful client-facing training content.
  • Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and sound judgment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a passion for helping others and caring for people.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience in financial literacy training related to consumer and/or business lending (SME/Mid-Enterprise).
  • Expert-level proficiency in PPT, graphic design, and/or website management.
