Summary

ECDI Women’s Business Centers of Ohio (WBCs) are a program of nonprofit community lender, ECDI. ECDI is the largest SBA microlender in the United States, we provide affordable lending and comprehensive small business development services to help underbanked people and communities join the economic mainstream. At the WBC we are dedicated to eliminating the obstacles women face in the world of business by providing resources, training and access to capital.

The ECDI Program Manager’s primary responsibilities will be to collaborate and assist in the training, programming, and executing various projects as needed that support ECDI’s Women’s Business Center (WBC). These projects may include supporting the Professional Advisory Network (PAN) and WBC Annual Event; conducting monthly New Member Orientation workshops and bi-monthly ECDI information sessions; assisting with training staff; and assisting management for the various grants that serve as outcomes for the organization.

Candidates for this position must be located in the Greater Cleveland area.

Responsibilities

Programming

  • Supports the execution of training, events, and programs at the Women’s Business Center of Northern Ohio
  • Assists with ensuring goals are met in areas including customer satisfaction, safety, quality, and team member performance
  • Gathers program data and provides accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its lifecycle
  • Ensures appropriate marketing is created for WBC programs
  • Creates partnerships and/or sponsorships with local companies and organizations
  • Onboards PAN volunteers; coordinate PAN advising schedule; execute PAN appreciation events; record PAN advising in Salesforce and distribute quarterly activity reports
  • Attends and identifies community outreach events

Client Support

  • Processes new members and updates the membership database
  • Fields incoming membership inquiries whether by email, phone, or walk-ins
  • Provides direct one-on-one coaching to multiple small business clients daily, including idea stage and growth stage businesses
  • Implements and manages changes and interventions in clients’ business plans and referred resources to ensure business needs are met
  • Provides general technical assistance (TA) support to clients with a lending focus

Administration

  • Collaborates with RMs to manage WBC lending pipeline
  • Supports maintenance of accurate client files, documents, and profiles for necessary paper files and in appropriate tracking systems
  • Maintains a thorough working knowledge of and adheres to all ECDI policies and procedures
  • Performs other related activities, as required, to assure program/department success

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Small business development knowledge
  • Familiarity with Northern Ohio small business territory, market, and clients
  • Fundraising development knowledge
  • Training and curriculum development and implementation skills
  • Computer Skills – Experience with and knowledge of computer operation; knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of standard office practices, procedures, equipment, and techniques; knowledge of adult learning techniques.

Educational and/or Experience:

  • Associate degree in business or related field OR 3-5 years’ experience project management, business coaching, and/or event planning

Special Requirements:

  • Occasional after hours and weekends required

Other:

  • Position is a hybrid role that will be required to come to the Cleveland office to meet departmental needs, as discussed with their manager
  • Must have access to transportation in order to travel to and from the office and to offsite meetings
  • Typically, the employee must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% or more of the time. The person in this position will occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc., and operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a copy machine and computer printer.
  • Positions self to move items up to 15 pounds, such as printer paper boxes across the office as needed.
  • Must be able to avoid risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.
