The Fund Management (FM) team is the primary contact for NMSC’s Fund Services clients. The main responsibilities are fund development, raising capital, financial structuring and modeling, investor relations, and overseeing fund operations, including capital decision-making, administrative activities, and reporting to investors.

The Manager, Fund Modeling (“Modeler”), will be essential to the team’s financial modeling and structuring business efforts and will be integral to the capital decision-making and communicating fund performance. They will assist Fund Managers in their decision-making process by building, updating, and improving fund models and communicating those results.


  • Develop, improve, and maintain financial models for funds of various product offerings, including a mixture of debt, equity, grants, and tax incentives
  • Read legal agreements, financial statements, tax returns, and various other documents to inform your updates to financial models
  • Perform scenario and stress testing analyses for funds in development and forecasting existing funds’ performance
  • Improve the efficacy and efficiency of our financial models by conducting research, integrating technology, and making uniform updates across our models
  • Communicate and explain complex financial structures to diverse stakeholders, including existing and prospective clients, investors, lenders, and internal staff


You should have a passion for financial modeling and Microsoft Excel, strong interpersonal skills, and a desire to overdeliver to investors and partners. You should be enthusiastic, highly self-motived, and willing to join a small and passionate team working on a myriad of investment funds across the impact investing industry.

  • Minimum 3-5 years of financial modeling experience and a strong understanding of investing and lending processes
  • Advanced proficiency and proven excellence in Microsoft Excel
  • Professional experience in finance, accounting, or related field
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with multiple projects going on at once
  • Highly self-motivated, organized, and results-driven
  • Strong alignment with NMSC’s Values
