Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated HR Assistant to support our Human Resources department in various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will assist with recruitment, onboarding, employee record management, and other HR functions with helping create a positive and productive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

  • Supports administration, coordination, and application of company-wide human resources policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Assist with the recruitment and selection process, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews, ensuring all necessary documentation and information are prepared in advance.
  • Maintains employee files and database.
  • Posts required labor law information.
  • Assists with communication of benefit programs changes and updates.
  • Assist with new employee onboarding, including preparing orientation materials, and ensuring all required paperwork is completed.
  • Support the administration of employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and inquiries.
  • Assist with employee offboarding processes, schedule exit interviews and coordinating the return of company property.
  • Assist with employee training and development initiatives, including scheduling training sessions, tracking attendance, and maintaining training records.
  • Support the implementation and enforcement of HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Assist with performance management processes, including coordinating performance review cycles and maintaining performance evaluation records.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of HR policies, practices, and employment laws.
  • Proficient in using HR software (e.g. HRIS systems).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • At least 2 years previous experience in an administrative role, preferably with an HR department.
  • Associate’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
