Summary

The position

The Director of Economic Inclusion helps design, promote, and implement strategies to support an inclusive economic recovery and sustain long-term economic growth. They identify potential business and nonprofit loan prospects and shepherd them through the lending process. This person analyzes financial information from various sources to determine the viability and risk associated with loan applications.

The Director of Economic Inclusion relies on a set of criteria and their own experience and judgment to accomplish the Community Loan Fund’s lending goals. This position supports businesses by providing 1:1 service, facilitating workshops, and connecting businesses with resources and opportunities within the region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The Director of Economic Inclusion is part of the Business and Community Finance management team. They are responsible for development activities and assisting the Senior Vice President of Lending, commercial lenders, with team goals, budgeting, managing, maintaining, and developing systems as directed.

Responsibilities

Major responsibilities/accountabilities:

  •  Establish and maintain business relationships with minority- and women-owned businesses and nonprofit leaders.
  • Provide professional consulting and business coaching.
  • Analyze financial data such as income growth and market share to determine the expected profitability of loans and judge the future growth and legitimacy of the business’s projections.
  • Analyze and define economic inclusion barriers and present recommendations for additional policies and procedures to advance economic inclusion efforts.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and accurate reports that illustrate the analysis and include the degree of financial risk involved in extending credit or lending money.
  • Participate on the Business and Community Finance team to complete loan applications, including credit analyses and summaries of loan requests, and participate in the loan- approval process.
  • Prepare materials and documents for business loan origination, closing, and servicing.
  • Review and provide feedback on business plans and supporting documentation.
  • Review and explain financial statements.
  • Confer with credit association and other business representatives to exchange credit information and connect business owners with resources and technical assistance providers throughout the region.
  • Meet regularly with community organizations and technical assistance providers who work with the small business community.
  • Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines, including fair lending and ethical behavior.
  • Attend various team meetings.
  • Perform other duties asigned.

Requirements

Education and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum two years’ experience in business administration, consulting, or related field, or equivalent.
  • Broad experience in the lending field with 2+ years in a lending
  • Advanced knowledge in using Excel/Word, Microsoft database, and in loan analytical

Compensation and Benefits

Starting salary range $82.500

The New Hampshire Community Loan Fund benefit package which includes medical and dental coverage, group life and disability options, health and dependent care, Flexible Spending Accounts and our 401(k) Plan upon completion of each plan’s eligibility requirements.

In addition, we offer vacation time and sick time and floating holidays.
