Summary
Who are we looking for?
HR&A is seeking a full-time Director of Business Development. This position is based in our New York City office.
Responsibilities
This person will report to the Head of Growth and collaborate with senior leaders across the company to research, strategize, optimize, and win new business. They will serve as a critical resource for Partners and Executive Management, as they work to expand the firm’s practices and services. This person will also support the firm’s Communications efforts by developing the firm’s approach to promoting impact and marketing its unique capabilities.
The ideal person is eager to make a substantial impact on the current and future of a dynamic organization. This person is a passionate strategist and experienced implementer who knows how to establish business development best practices. They have previously served as a leader in a business strategy and/or development capacity and leveraged data along with tools to maximize performance. Finally, this person is excited to continue positioning the firm to address the complex challenges facing cities around the world.
Requirements
ABOUT YOU |
- BA/BS degree in business management, administration, entrepreneurship, or a related concentration. Advanced degree is a plus.
- 7 to 10+ years of relevant business development and strategy experience in the professional services/consulting/corporate sectors.
- Experience and passion for working with leaders to set and execute organizational strategy.
- Experience in government, A/E/C, or social impact is a plus.
- Strong multitasking and project management skills and demonstrated capabilities to manage multiple deadlines and changing project criteria.
- Strong collaborating skills, including some experience in leading a team, as well as working effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Capacity to interpret data to support decision making. Working knowledge of Salesforce, AskWonder, preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines; high energy, self-motivated, and proactive.
- You are committed to HR&A’s approach to ADEI and continuous improvement.
TRAVEL | In this role you will travel 25% of the time visiting HR&A offices across the country to build a presence for the Growth team.
Compensation and Benefits
The base salary range for this position is $126,500 – $143,500. We offer competitive compensation packages, based on qualifications and experience. We are an employee-owned company, meaning you will have the opportunity to benefit from the firm’s growth over time through participation in our Employee Stock Ownership Plan. Each year, the firm will contribute funds to this long-term wealth-building account and may make contributions to other retirement accounts. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package that goes well beyond coverage of 90-95% of healthcare premiums, dental and vision coverage.
