Design and Content Intern
Company: Blue Forest
Location: , Remote
Job Function: Intern/Work Study
Blue Forest is a conservation finance non-profit whose mission is to accelerate the pace and scale of ecological restoration. Since 2018, Blue Forest has managed investor capital through its flagship financial product, the Forest Resilience Bond (FRB), which deploys private capital to finance forest restoration projects on private and public lands to reduce the risk of catastrophic wildfire. More recently, Blue Forest has also established Blue Forest Asset Management (BFAM), an investment management platform connecting investors to compelling, mission-aligned opportunities in a broader set of asset classes beyond FRB projects, such as private equity and private credit investments.
Blue Forest is an interdisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, foresters, finance, and communications professionals. We are harnessing financial innovation and building partnerships with investors, non-profits, private companies and the public sector to design sustainable solutions to systemic climate resilience challenges faced by vulnerable communities and ecosystems. As we grow and develop new financial solutions to pressing environmental problems, we are committed to promoting social equity and amplifying historically excluded voices in the burgeoning field of conservation finance.
Our Design and Content Intern will be integral across Blue Forest, working closely with the science and research department, the finance team, and the project development teams to design compelling content for key external stakeholders. Ideal intern candidates will have experience designing presentation and pitch decks for investors and/or communities, as well as compelling 2 pagers that are both verbally and visually compelling. This role requires the ability to communicate both finance and science.

- Design an overview deck of Blue Forest as a whole for audiences such as: investors, potential partners, utilities, beneficiaries, and communities
- Develop standard canva templates for presentation decks, 2 pagers, etc
Blue Forest is a remote company with staff distributed in some geographies where we can focus our impact as well as located across all four continental U.S. time zones. This job may be remote, however preference may be given to candidates proximate to existing staff as that can support collaboration and team culture. The Design and Content Intern will be expected to be online during their respective standard working hours.
Blue Forest will prioritize the following qualifications in the hiring process; however, we do not expect candidates to fulfill all criteria and encourage all interested candidates to apply.
- Experience in graphic design and infographic development
