Digibanc is an online small business and microfinance lender.


We are seeking an experienced CDFI Certification Consultant to guide our organization through the process of becoming a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI). The consultant will provide expert advice, training, and support to ensure our organization meets the requirements and standards set by the CDFI Fund of the U.S. Department of the Treasury.


Assessment & Strategy:

Conduct a thorough analysis of our organization’s current operations, fiscal health, and services in light of CDFI certification criteria.
Formulate a detailed strategy to bridge identified gaps, facilitating our journey toward certification.
Documentation & Application:

Spearhead the compilation and preparation of all requisite documents for the CDFI certification application.
Critique and refine application contents to ensure they align with all stipulated regulatory and compliance mandates.
Training & Capacity Building:

Facilitate training programs and workshops, acquainting our staff with CDFI principles and practices.
Offer insights on sustaining the CDFI certification and adhering to best practices post-certification.
Stakeholder Engagement:

Foster collaboration among various internal and external stakeholders, including financial experts, community advocates, and representatives from the CDFI Fund.
Play a pivotal role in establishing ties with vital industry affiliates and networks.
Reporting & Compliance:

Steer our team towards instituting robust systems and protocols for periodic reporting and ensuring adherence to CDFI standards.
Continuous Improvement:

Remain abreast of evolving trends and modifications in the CDFI certification landscape.
Propose strategies for sustained enhancement and expansion after achieving certification.


Demonstrable expertise in directing organizations through the CDFI certification labyrinth.
Comprehensive knowledge of CDFI norms, prerequisites, and industry gold standards.
Stellar organizational acumen and prowess in project management.
Acute analytical aptitude and a knack for problem-solving.
Superior communication skills, paired with an ability to collaborate with a diverse array of stakeholders.
A Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or allied fields is mandatory. Possession of a Master’s degree or pertinent certifications will be viewed favorably.
