Summary

Position Purpose

The Business Liaison position is responsible for managing all administrative aspects of loan inquiries from the online loan application system, or directly from referral network. This position is responsible for engaging with incoming loan inquiries to determine fit with Craft3 loan programs, viability, strategic alignment and loan readiness and referring them to appropriate lender or business services provider.

Craft3’s commercial lending team focuses on making loans to entrepreneurs who have been unable to access or been denied bank financing. The commercial lending team uses their experience in banking, finance, coaching, natural resources, community development, and microfinance to build relationships with and serve our borrowers and partners. Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include some or all the following and are not intended to be all-inclusive.   • Respond promptly to loan inquiries and maintain relationships with qualified applicants to gather application documentation in consultation with Craft3 lending staff as the applicant moves through the loan application process.
  • Assemble a complete application package, including background information and documentation prior to introduction to lenders.
  • Actively prospect for strategic business loan opportunities from multiple sources.
  • Collaborate with Craft3 Marketing and Business Outreach to coordinate strategy and support.
  • Ensure all intake activity and correspondence is tracked in systems; maintain relevant working knowledge of loan tracking system.
  • Determine the level of complexity, mission and strategy fit, and prospect’s readiness to borrow. Follow up with prospects when necessary.
  • Provide consulting to clients regarding business plans, projections, and business practices.
  • Connect prospect to Technical Assistance providers to help prospects with basic pre-application work as needed.
  • Participate fully with all members of the Craft3 team. Effectively use technology tools to perform required duties.
  • Contribute to the body of knowledge, sharing best practices and process improvement ideas.

 Business Development

  • Develop and manage referral network maintaining Craft3 brand in the marketplace with quality mission fit transactions to meet lender goals.

Culture and Brand Management

  • Support the organization’s All Team performance standards, Companywide Competencies.
  • Demonstrate stewardship for the Craft3 Brand.

Requirements

Three years’ experience in commercial/ business banking, commercial lending, community development finance, or similar experiences.
Fluency in Spanish a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $53,000-$75,000

Remote flexible schedule is available within Oregon or Washington, near one of our offices.
