Summary
Who we are seeking:
We are looking for an Associate Program Developer who will work closely with the Program Director to create and deliver climate justice and environmental resilience-based programming that enables CEI’s clients to adapt to meet equity and environmental goals.
- You have experience doing outreach, networking, and collaborating with partners and communities.
- You have experience with or knowledge of Greenhouse Gas accounting.
- You have strong writing and communication skills and the ability to adjust your message to a variety of audiences.
- You have a passion for contributing to the purpose of lifting communities.
Responsibilities
Some of your key responsibilities in this role will be:
- You will assist in managing the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF) activities and reporting.
- You will identify and build a deal flow of projects eligible for GGRF – focusing in places beyond Maine.
- You will outreach to community groups and small businesses.
- You will work to grow the resilience and profitability of Maine’s small businesses, with a focus on natural resource industries.
- You will provide proactive and responsible partnership to CEI’s Lending and Investment Team, meeting with clients during the underwriting process to discuss environmental and equity goals.
- You will deliver on special projects.
Requirements
Preferred candidates will have:
- Associate’s degree with 1 – 3 years professional experience or a Bachelor’s degree.
- Quantitative skills and familiarity with Microsoft Suite, including Excel or other analytical tools.
- Knowledge and or background in environmental science preferred.
- Knowledge of business management, including business planning and financial statement analysis.
Compensation and Benefits
Other details:
This is a full-time exempt position, with excellent benefits and generous time off. The posting range is $56,000 – $62,000 a year. We work in a hybrid model, two days in the office, and three days at home. This position is based out of our headquarters in Brunswick, ME.
