Capital Meets Purpose – 2023 OFN Conference Theme and Call for Sessions
OFN invites session proposals for the 2023 OFN Conference in Washington, D.C.
Last October, more than 2,000 CDFI practitioners, investors, funders, policymakers, and other economic justice partners joined together for the first-ever sold-out OFN Conference in New York City — the financial capital of the world — to discuss the power of CDFIs to invest in change.
This year from October 15-18, we’re bringing the 39th annual OFN Conference to Washington — our nation’s capital. Together, we’ll go deep on issues and opportunities facing CDFIs and our communities, including green finance, economic uncertainty, the future CDFI workforce, post-pandemic capital deployment, and social, racial, and economic justice.
We invite CDFI practitioners and other leading experts to help shape the curriculum for this premier industry event by submitting a session proposal.

The 2023 OFN Conference Theme is…
We’re excited to announce the 2023 conference theme is Capital Meets Purpose.
This theme evokes the industry’s founding purpose and invites us to explore what it means today. We look forward to gathering in our nation’s capital to highlight how CDFIs put the theme into action every day and how our industry can achieve even greater impact.
Submit an OFN Conference Session Proposal
Participants return to the OFN Conference year after year because they value the breadth and depth of expertise shared by CDFI practitioners and other industry stakeholders working across diverse roles, geographies, and experiences.
Is there a topic you think would make a compelling conference session? Do you know subject matter experts — in or outside of the CDFI industry — who can speak effectively on the topic? Consider submitting a session proposal! The deadline for proposals is Friday, May 19, at 11:59 pm ET.
This year we aim to offer approximately 60-70 breakout sessions on topics of critical importance to CDFIs and industry stakeholders.

Registration opens later this summer. In the meantime, take advantage of our special hotel rate and book your room. Last year our room block sold out, so we encourage you to book early!
